The incident is amazing but true. It was when   Gurudev showed me practically, how He healed people by taking their problems on   Himself and then dissipate them.

The incident dates back to 1984, when I was in New York with Gurudev. He had gone there to make a “Sthaan” and it was our sheer luck, that He had taken us with Him.

One day, we were travelling in a bus on the streets of New York. I was sitting in the seat, just ahead of Gurudev and I was wearing a half sleeve shirt. On my left hand, just above the elbow, there was a fungal infection in the shape of white spots, about 2 – 3 cm in diameter. Gurudev asked me, “What’s that on your hand ?” I told Him about it. He nodded His head, said ok, and the brief conversation among us ended there.

In the evening Gurudev called me, when He was about to sit on “Paath” (Chanting of Sacred Mantras. Gurudev used to do “Paath” almost everyday). He asked me to rub oil on His feet, while He was on “Paath” and asked me to chant my mantras as well. (Mantras are never spoken aloud.)

After about an hour and a half, Gurudev got up from His “Samadhi” (During “Paath, Gurudev used to break links from this world. This state is referred to as “Samadhi”) and called me. He showed me a ring of infection on His hand, exactly on the same spot and same shape as mine. It was much smaller in size though.

I was bewildered. Then He asked me to get some almond oil. He rubbed some oil on the spot on His hand and even the small spot vanished from His hand. He then kept His hand on my head and said, “Go my child, after today, you will never have this disease.”

I bow before the greatness of my Guru. Till today, after more than 15 years, I have never, ever had that problem again in my life…….
