Little over two years back, a member of the family, who are regular visitors of Gurgaon and Neelkanth Sthans, rang me up to say, “our uncle (Tayaji), who is in Holland, has been in Hospital for the last 5/6 months. He has virtually become immobilized. Bacteria has spread all over his body. He is not responding to any medication. Doctors have declared that he may not survive for more than a week.”

The patient called up his brother and requested him, “please take care of my children, I may not be there after a week.”. And he added, “please convey my pranam to your Guruji”. Having implicit faith in Param Pujya Guruji, his brother’s family made fervent requests to save their relative so that he is relieved of the agony he is undergoing and is able to take care of his family and children. I asked for the patient’s photograph, which was promptly e-mailed to me. Looking at the photograph, my first reaction was that the body had turned blue because poison had spread all over his body. This was confirmed by his daughter in Holland the very next day. By any standards, it was a gone case.

I asked if his wife in Holland could speak to me over the phone in the presence of the patient. She did and I advised her to put her hands on his head. I sanctified jal over the telephone and asked the patient to drink it, sip by sip reciting Aum Aum Aum with every sip. On drinking the jal, I asked him if he felt any sensation in his body and he replied that he felt as if a strong current had passed through his body and he was feeling energy flowing in his body. I told the family to arrange laungs, elaichies, suparies and shyam varan tulsi and then call me back. These items, when arranged, were sanctified along with jal, once again over the phone, and the family was explained the usage of these items. They were advised that the patient should take Jal as frequently as possible.

The family was virtually in touch with me every day, but as soon as the critical period of one week was over, they would call me after every 2/3 days. As he showed signs of improvement, they would get in touch with me once a week. After consuming the sanctified items for 5/6 weeks, he showed significant improvement and was shifted from the ICU to the room. By then he had started moving around in the hospital room. The doctors were amazed observing his progress and after three months, shifted him to a nursing home where the doctor would visit him once a day. He was now in a position to take a little stroll with support and carry out, on his own, certain routine functions.

After three months in the nursing home, when the doctors observed that he was near normal, asked him to go home, where the doctor would visit him once in a week to observe his further progress. During one of his telephonic conversations with me, sometime in the 7th or 8th month, he said, “Guruji, you have given me another life. I have not seen you and I earnestly wish to have your darshan. I feel that I am now in a position to undertake journey to India.” Soon after that he came to India and rang me up from the Airport to say that he had arrived and that he was impatient to have my darshan. I advised him to first go to Neelkanth Dham and pay his obeisance to Param Pujya Guruji with whose blessings he was able to get another span of life and then come over to my place. So he did.

When he came to my house, I offered him Mahashivratri jal and asked him to come upto the sthan at first floor. He pleaded his inability to climb the stairs so I asked his wife and the taxi driver to give him support. At the sthan, I gave him Mahashivratri laung and elaichi together and another glass of Mahashivratri jal. I touched his body from top to toe giving him passes and, after some time, asked him to go down on his own. He hesitated, but then on my insistence, holding the railing of staircase, he managed to come down on his own, looking surprised at his own self what he was able to achieve. Thereafter, he went to Punjab, sold off his property there, visited Sai Babaji (whose follower he has been) and happily returned to Holland with sufficient quantity of Laungs, elaichies, suparies and jal for his daily use.

Now here was a case, seven seas away from our sthan, with no physical contact, but he could feel the vibrations, defied the verdict of doctors and has been leading a fairly normal and healthy life for the last year and a half. How blessed we are to be the shishyas of such an exalted Sadhguru for whom transcending time and space and blessing a dying person by extending his life (for the welfare of his family) was such a normal happening.
