This happening took place sometime in September 1995. I had come to my parents’ house along with my husband, Salilji and my son Manu. One morning, around 10.00 A.M. my husband collapsed and lost consciousness. He was rushed to hospital, but the doctors were unable to understand as to what had gone wrong with him.

Instantly, I prayed to Guruji Maharaj and rang up Sonepat wale Guruji (who is my maternal uncle as well as Guruji) and apprised him of Salilji’s condition. He consoled me and said, “Beta, there is nothing to worry. He would live upto 82-83 years and regain consciousness by 01.05 P.M. I am sending Mahashivratri jal, sprinkle some on his forehead and make him drink some.

We regard Mahashivratri jal as amrit. When I was about to feed him this sanctified jal, doctors stopped me and warned me that feeding him water at that point of time was like feeding him poison and that they would not be in a position to take any guarantee of the patient. With implicit faith, I told the doctors that my Guruji has taken the responsibility and I should be allowed to feed him the jal. With full faith and confidence, I made my husband drink that amrit.

By the grace of Guruji Maharaj, in the afternoon at 01.04 P.M., we observed some movement in his legs as if Guruji himself was moving his legs and telling him to get up and go home. When he regained consciousness, he insisted that he should be taken home. Once again, the doctors did not permit that because they were still conducting the tests. At that point of time, Guruji of Sonepat came to the hospital. He put his hand on Salilji’s head, blessed him and said, “you are alright now and can go home”. When the report came the next day, those were absolutely normal.

When Salilji had collapsed and fell on the ground, he had a deep cut on his tongue which had affected his power of speech also. According to the doctors, he was under risk for the coming five years and he was advised to take certain precautions. He was cautioned not to drive. His state of health was a source of worry for me and I started remaining sick. I would often get up at night and keep looking at him.

Then, one night, Bade Guruji Maharaj came to my dream and asked me to bring a glass of water. He sanctified that water and sprinkled the jal on his forehead and eyes and said, “from now onwards, nothing untoward will happen to him, you take care of yourself”. Thereafter, my sense of fear vanished and since then (from September 1995), with the grace of Pujya Guruji, we have been enjoying good health.

“You are very benevolent Gurudev. My innumerable pranaams to you. My Lord, do not ever forsake us. Bless us to be at your lotus feet forever.”
